Coolness

My brother will be doing a stock take in a freezer tomorrow. O.o

Who says that auditors don’t get to do interesting things?

Hope

I'm hoping to volunteer for Daffodil Day 2008. I've been volunteering for two years now. Its my little way of fighting cancer. According to the Cancer Council of Australia, 1 in 3 people will have cancer in their lifetime. But there is hope.

In 2006 just after Daffodil Day, it was announced that a vaccine (Gardasil) for cervical cancer had been created.

It demonstrates that with enough funding and research, the possibilities are endless.

I got vaccinated this year and strongly recommend other women to do the same.

If you're an Australian citizen or PR below the age of 26, even better. The Australian government is bearing the cost of the vaccine so you can get it for free.

The vaccine entails three doses which usually cost $AUD 150 per injection. That's $AUD 450 all in all. So if you do fall under the relevant category, there's no reason for you not to get vaccinated against cervical cancer.

Happiness

A Friendster message led to five days of texting, a phone call and a six hour face-to-face meet.

All this, despite having not met in eleven years and living in different countries.

We could easily have lived our lives apart, never knowing.

We could easily not have met.

But we did.

And I'm glad.

Walk with me

This blog is a patchwork quilt of random musings, questions, and ramblings.

Take a walk with me if you like and I'll tell you a story or two.
