Weekends

Now that I've started working, I've come to appreciate the weekend so much more.

Yesterday, I took a walk and managed to walk halfway to the city. I like going for walks. There's always so many interesting things to see. Come to think of it, I should have brought my camera along. I'll do that next week.

Apart from that, I managed to do a little bit of shopping. I bought an office shirt. Ooh, and my brother got me a pair of gloves. They'll definitely come in handy because my fingers are so cold that my nails turn blue in winter.

Other than that, I went with my brother to a music store to buy an electronic piano. He's been yearning to get a piano in Melbourne for about two years now. My brother is very much musically inclined. He plays the piano, trumpet and guitar. Once when we went to Vietnam, he even managed to play one of those traditional musical instruments fashioned out of bamboo.

I was very surprised that electronic pianos can sound exactly like normal pianos. Somehow whenever I think of the words "electronic" and "piano" in the same sentence, I think of my cousins' old organ that was back in Klang. I'm not even sure if they still have it. Technology really has come a long way.

A 3 day weekend?! Nice!!! Have you got anything interesting planned?

I'm missing my bumming days a teeny bit. I enjoy working life though. Its so fun to be learning new things and meeting all sorts of fascinating people. :D

I'm currently on a 2 month contract with a financial planning firm so that means I'll be job hunting again come the end of June.

How's your work placement? Are you enjoying it?

Li Zie: Yeah! Can't believe we bumped into each other twice in one day! Funny, right?

Hehee.. and I totally agree with you on the thrill of earning our own money! :D So happy.

PK: Me sound old? *pretends to be offended* Never!!!

Hehee.. okie. I'm thinking that alcohol might be a good thing? *grin*

Kidding. I reckon exercise is the way to go. I walked five and a half kilometers halfway to the city last Saturday.

Aiming to try to make it to the city this Saturday on foot.
