Dogs

On principle, I will never own a pedigree dog. Not when there are so many strays in need of a good home.

My parents look after a couple of strays in our area (we can't adopt because we already have the maximum number of dogs allowed for a place of our size). Recently a few of the dogs went missing so my dad went to the DBKL pound to look for them but did not find them.

He was told that dogs are put down within a week of being caught. The worrying part is that quite a number of the dogs there were wearing collars.

So if your dog goes missing in the W.P area, head to the DBKL pound immediately if you ever want to see your dog again.

I really hope our strays are all right. We have been taking care of them for more than a year and we watched all the puppies grow up. My dad especially loves dogs. He had our strays neutered, bought normal collars and flea collars for them and feeds them every day. On weekends the dogs even get treated to roti canai, char siew bao or roast pork.

I hope they are okay.
