Work and other stuff

I'm enjoying working life. Granted, I'm not doing "change-the-world" type work but I'm loving it nonetheless.

Best thing is, I still get to walk around the office often, which suits my fidgety nature just fine. :D

Last week, I attended the one and only interview that left me filled with dread. It was advertised as a data entry position at a market research firm but it turned out to be a telemarketing-type job. The liars.

The thought of being forced to sit in one place while attempting to interview irate people over the phone was the biggest turn-off ever. During the interview itself, I felt stifled sitting there among the claustrophobic cubicles. It was such a suffocating environment.

Thank God the place I was already doing casual work for offered me a two-month contract. I may know little about financial planning but I'm loving the work culture. Its comfy.

Everyone is so kind. Also, most of the clients are retired couples and they are the sweetest people to speak to.

Oh, and I neglected to mention this because so many things were happening at the time... but I managed to treat my parents, uncle, aunt, brother and boyfriend to a nice Peking duck dinner with my first paycheck! *grin* It was great to be able to treat the people I love. I'm so glad I did!
